OK so I am SERIOUSLY loving the Whole 30, it has nothing to do with the fact that I am feeling better, not bloated, no more inflammation, or having my sweet tooth cravings, but it has to do with ALL THE DELICIOUS FOOD!!!!
Like these…. which are literally screen licking worthy ?
What you would need:
1 1/2 pounds turkey breast cooked or deli sliced turkey with no added sugar (if you are short on time)
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 sweet potatoes
2 avocados
2 tomatoes
8 slices bacon
Directions:
1. Season turkey breast with dried Italian herbs, onion powder, garlic powder and salt. Cook in crockpot on low for 4-6 hours until done. Transfer to cookie sheet and place under 500F broiler for about 10 minutes, or until outside is crisp and brown. Cover with foil and allow to rest at least 15 minutes. Shred with fork. Or if you are short on time, just use the fresh sliced deli turkey
2. While turking is resting, cut sweet potato into 1/4 inch pieces. Peel, pit, and slice avocado. Slice tomato.
3. Cook bacon in oven on 400 for 20 min or until crispy. After removing bacon strips, cook the sweet potato rounds in remaining bacon grease on skillet over medium heat until brown on each side.
4. Assemble slider with tomato, avocado, pulled turkey and bacon in between sweet potato.
I am warning you, this may become one of your favorites too!!! ?
